Americas Commercial Transportation (ACT) Research and Rhein Associates have announced the inaugural publication of a new cooperative venture, the N.A. On-Highway CV Engine Outlook report. The Engine Outlook, available now, is designed to present historical trends, current activity and forecasts of engine demand in on-highway commercial vehicles. The report analyzes major trends in engine displacement, engine type (diesel, gasoline, natural gas, and other), captive versus non-captive engines, and premium versus non-premium power for Class 8 vehicles.

“We are planning to research, analyze and forecast a variety of CV engine-related characteristics in each quarterly issue,” said Tom Rhein, president of Rhein Associates, “including current and future OEM offerings and the potential impact of engine-related regulations. We are very excited about this new report and the opportunity to partner with ACT Research, who provided the overall economic, historical and vehicle forecast data.”
