Freightliner Custom Chassis delivers first S2G field-test unit

Freightliner Custom Chassis delivered the first field-test unit of its innovative, propane-autogas S2G work truck as the product enters the final phase before start of production later this year.

Freightliner Custom Chassis delivered the S2G unit to representatives from Amerigas at the headquarters of project partner Powertrain Integration in Madison Heights, Mich. In addition to FCCC, Amerigas and Powertrain Integration, officials from CleanFUEL USA, Signature Truck Systems and the Michigan Propane Gas Association were present at the event.

Amerigas is among a select group of S2G customers chosen for the field test, which will put the first 25 S2G units through an extended, rigorous delivery regimen. Anticipating a successful field test with no significant issues, FCCC expects start of full production of the S2G to begin by the end of Q2 2014.
