Hendrickson has announced its Equalizing Beam, which includes Rotating Bar Pin End Bushing for easy installation.

“Our patented Rotating Bar Pin End Bushing allows you to adjust the angle of the pin to match the axle pinion angle for a quick and easy beam installation. Uptime is paramount in this industry, and this new product offering will enable the technician to service the vehicle right the first time,” said David McCleave, director of aftermarket for Hendrickson.

Along with the rotating bar pin benefit, the rotating bar pin bushing utilizes the same proprietary rubber material and bonding composition as the standard end bushing leading to longer component life, the company says. Once under load, the rotating bar pin will lock into place. Hendrickson Equalizing Beams are made of a high strength steel formula exclusive to Hendrickson, enabling long component service life and a lightweight design for greater payloads, the company says.

Available part numbers include:

  • 080225-001 HMX460 54-in. Beam assemble with shock bracket;
  • 080226-001 HMX460 54-in. Beam assemble without shock bracket;

FlowBelow Aero, Inc., has introduced its new AeroFender, a device that is equipped to truck wheels and reduces drag on day- and sleeper-cabs. FlowBelow tells us that the AeroFender improves fuel efficiency by re-directing the airflow ahead of and around a power unit’s leading drive axle.

At a controlled track test completed in November 2023 by Mesilla Valley Transportation Solutions, FlowBelow says its technology was proven to save 1.49 gallons of fuel for every 1,000 miles driven, or 1.44% overall. The company says that fleets can expect a truck equipped with an AeroFender and traveling 125,000 miles per year to save an estimated 187 gallons of fuel and approximately 4,207.5 lbs. of CO2.
