Liqui Moly USA introduces additive line for pickup trucks

Liqui Moly USA has announced the Truck Series, a new line of additives made specifically for pickups trucks. According to the company, the Truck Series is geared toward solving a widespread problem: The creeping loss of performance. Due to deposits on the inside of the motor, the combustion worsens because the fuel is no longer being so finely atomized, resulting in worse performance and increased fuel consumption. Because this is a creeping process, the driver often doesn’t even notice it. The Truck Series is made up of five additives to ensure that motors remain strong, the company said.

The five additives are as follows:

  • The Truck Series Complete Diesel System Cleaner an effective cleaning additive, which frees the fuel system and the combustion chambers from deposits. It is ideally implemented from time to time, for example, as part of the oil change.
  • The Truck Series Diesel Performance and Protectant is designed for permanent use. According to the company, it removes deposits while also preventing the creation of new deposits and increasing the cetane number.
  • The counterpart for gasoline engines is the Truck Series Complete Fuel Cleaner. With it the engine runs more quietly and consumption is reduced. The older the truck and the higher the mileage, the greater the effect of the additives. The .53-quart cans are designed for the tank capacity of pickup trucks.
  • The DPF Protector, which reduces the temperature required for automatic regeneration, so that the filter remains unblocked.
  • The Oil Treatment, which contains MoS2 particles as a lubricant, which protect the motor against wear. According to the company, it ensures that the engine is not damaged in cases of extreme stress of of complete oil loss.

FlowBelow Aero, Inc., has introduced its new AeroFender, a device that is equipped to truck wheels and reduces drag on day- and sleeper-cabs. FlowBelow tells us that the AeroFender improves fuel efficiency by re-directing the airflow ahead of and around a power unit’s leading drive axle.

At a controlled track test completed in November 2023 by Mesilla Valley Transportation Solutions, FlowBelow says its technology was proven to save 1.49 gallons of fuel for every 1,000 miles driven, or 1.44% overall. The company says that fleets can expect a truck equipped with an AeroFender and traveling 125,000 miles per year to save an estimated 187 gallons of fuel and approximately 4,207.5 lbs. of CO2.
