Mack Trucks announced the availability of its new Anthem heavy-duty on-highway truck for the Mexican market. The announcement was made at the Expo Transporte show in Guadalajara. The Anthem is available in multiple configurations including a Day Cab, a 48-in. Flat Top Sleeper, and a 70-in. Stand-Up Sleeper.

The Anthem’s standard engine is the 13-liter Mack MP8 engine, which produces up to 505 HP and 1,860 lb.-ft. of torque depending on spec. Several enhancements to improve efficiency and productivity are included, such as a patented wave piston design that enables more complete fuel combustion and a common-rail fuel system to more accurately control fuel injection. The 11-liter Mack MP7, with up to 425 HP and 1,560 lb.-ft. of torque, is also available as an option on the Anthem. Mack’s 12-speed mDrive AMT is standard on all Anthem models. Additionally, mDrive HD 13- and 14-speed variants are available.
