Michelin Americas Truck Tires has released the Defender LTX M/S tire series. The Defender LTX series is made for light- and medium-duty trucks, and Michelin claims to have built them to handle all seasons and last through tough conditions. The new trucks sport Michelin’s Evertread technology, which is designed to meet high demands and drive in tough terrain.
“The Michelin Defender LTX M/S was created to better address the size and power needs of today’s trucks and SUVs, giving drivers what they want — a combination of durability and longevity year-round — without sacrificing safety and performance,” said Scott Clark, chief operating officer of Michelin North America’s passenger and light-truck tire division. “As vehicles evolve, we must develop tires that match their powertrain performance, resulting in a tire that is stronger and lasts longer, even in tough conditions.”
According to Michelin, benefits of the tires include:
- Stronger, advanced compounds hold up to tougher conditions longer;
- Better wear without losing all-season performance (wet traction, snow traction, rolling resistance);
- Meets the high-torque demands of modern trucks; and
- 50K –70K mile warranty.
