Mitsubishi Fuso names Larry Smith director of fleet operations

Mitsubishi Fuso Truck announces Morris’s replacement

Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America Inc. (MFTA) promoted Larry Smith to director of fleet operations to lead the company’s fleet sales efforts. For the past five years, Smith has held the position of district sales manager for the company, managing dealer operations and sales activities for the upper Midwest. Smith replaces Jack Morris, who recently retired from MFTA after a long and distinguished career.

“Larry has worked tirelessly as a district sales manager to build our business in his territory. His background gives him great insight into dealer operations and as a district sales manager, he has come to know our dealers and the important role they play in all of our fleet sales efforts,” said Mike Rumsey, MFTA’s vice president of sales operations. “He also understands our fleet sales goals and the low cost-of-ownership advantages our FUSO Canter work trucks offer fleet customers. I’m confident he’ll be able to capitalize on that knowledge and experience as be begins to enhance our fleet sales operations for the future.”
