Thermo King launches Precedent temperature control platform

Designed as a regulation-compliant solution, the new Thermo King Precedent rail-ready temperature control platform is available for intermodal shippers. Precedent features a platform for the rail market designed to be fully compliant with new Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Tier IV final regulations. Models include the S-600, a greater-than-25 HP single temperature unit, which is considered Ultra-Low-Emission In-Use Performance Standard (ULETRU) by California Air Resources Board (CARB), and the S-700, a greater-than-25 HP high capacity single temperature unit with an evergreen engine for use in California.

Peterbilt is now offering the new Cummins X15N natural gas engine as an alternative fuel option on the Model 579, 567 and 520 trucks with orders scheduled for production in Q3 2024.

“The new Xl5N natural gas engine provides another environmentally-friendly solution for Peterbilt customers committed to sustainability and reducing their carbon footprint,” said Jake Montero, Peterbilt assistant general manager, sales and marketing.
