Utility releases flatbeds and curtainsided trailer video

Utility Trailer Manufacturing Co. announced the release of a new video showcasing the company’s flatbed and curtainsided trailer models. The video features information on the components and manufacturing process of Utility’s 4000A, an aluminum/steel combo model; the 4000S, an all steel model; and drop deck as well as the Tautliner curtainsided trailer.

“Over the past few years, we have been actively utilizing digital and video media to showcase our products and highlight their unique features,” said Larry Roland, director of marketing for Utility Trailer Manufacturing Co. “The intent is to provide individuals another way to get detailed information on what is available to them and how our flatbed or curtainsided trailers are perfect for their specific application.”

Some components featured in the video include the DOT-rated load securement point pipe spools, the full-length integral winch track, the optional Adjustable Load Securement System (ALSS), and other standard features on Utility’s flatbed models.

According to the latest numbers from ACT Research, preliminary North America Class 8 net orders were 27,700 units, up 600 units from January and 16% from a year ago. With the fourth-largest seasonal factor of the year at 8%, seasonal adjustment reduces February’s Class 8 intake to 25,600 units, up 5% from January.

“Weak freight and carrier profitability fundamentals, and large carriers guiding to lower capex in 2024, would imply pressure in U.S. tractor, the North American Class 8 market’s largest segment,” said Kenny Vieth, ACT’s president and senior analyst. “While we do not yet have the underlying detail for February order volumes, Class 8 demand continuing at high levels again this month suggests that U.S. buyers continue as strong market participants.”
