Zed Connect has expanded its line of ELD compliance plug-and-play logging devices with the debut of an OBDII 16-pin adapter developed specifically for smaller commercial vehicles and vocational work trucks requiring compliance to the FMCSA Electronic Logging Device mandate.
Zed Connect’s ELD includes visual inspection reporting, vehicle tracking and more, and meets new federal requirements while minimizing the associated costs of compliance, the company says.
The new OBDII-compatible line incorporates the same functionality utilized in Zed Connect’s heavy duty trucking application, and is recommended by the company for applications where ELD requirements are seasonal or occasional. Zed ELD includes a nominal one-time fee for bluetooth-enabled hardware which plugs into the vehicle’s OBDII port and communicates via Bluetooth to the drivers cellular enabled smart device, but requires no contracts or recurring monthly fees. The OBDII solution is currently compatible with most domestic vehicles 2008 and newer.
