Accuride Corp. announced plans to expand its Henderson, Ky., plant. The company is investing $5.8 million to expand its powder coating capacity with the installation of a new coating line at its steel wheel production facility. The paint technology upgrade will add 30 jobs over the next few years.
Accuride’s Henderson facility was established in 1974 as part of what was then Firestone Steel Products. The 364,000-sq-ft manufacturing center on 118 acres employs about 160 people. The Henderson facility also is home to Accuride’s wheel research and development center, as well as the company¹s wheel product development and testing facilities.
