Alcoa Forged Specialty Wheels, a Cleveland-based business unit of Alcoa Inc., announced the expansion of its product warranty to a lifetime limited warranty across the entire automotive aftermarket replacement wheel portfolio.

Under the new terms, Alcoa said it extends a warranty to the original purchaser for the life of the wheel that will remedy defects in materials or workmanship by repairing or replacing a defective product that fails in normal use and service. The warranty goes into effect starting with wheel purchases on or after September 1, 2006.

All Alcoa one-piece forged wheels are put through rigorous testing before they enter the market, the company said. Alcoa also proves its wheel strength in extreme off road environments.

Ivan “Ironman” Stewart recently selected Alcoa as the official wheel of the Baja Protruck Off Road Race Series. Alcoa also works with teams that compete in extreme rock crawling and rock racing.
