Amerit Fleet Solutions unveils EVolution MSC

Amerit Fleet Solutions, a provider of customized fleet maintenance and repair programs nationwide, debuted its latest innovation- the EVolution Mobile Service Center (MSC), at TMC22.

Fully electric and zero emissions, the EVolution MSC is a collaborative effort with Phoenix Motorcars to enable Amerit technicians to provide maintenance and repairs for electric vehicles, charging hardware and ICE vehicles side by side. The EVolution’s battery power is designed to support a full shift, powering all tools and equipment throughout the night, and returning the technicians home in the morning

Another capability of the EVolution MSC is its ability to perform rescue missions. Drawing from its own on-board battery packs, the EVolution can provide 5-10 miles of charge to a downed EV, enabling the vehicle to be driven to a charging station or back to the fleet location. Amerit also announced a standing order to purchase EVolution MSCs from Phoenix Motorcars that will go into service in 2022.

"Remember that number," said Roger Alm, executive vice president of Volvo Group and president of Volvo Trucks, to a room full of journalists just days before the grand opening of the World of Volvo, a "brand experience" building in Gothenburg, Sweden. "We need to transition all of these trucks that we have on the road to zero emission to be net zero by 2050."
