Bayview Kenworth recently opened a new full-service dealership in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

The 12,800 sq.-ft. dealership is on a 3-acre site, features 10 service bays, and a 1,200 sq.-ft. visual parts display supported by a 4,000-sq.-ft. parts warehouse.

Bayview Kenworth is located at 1 Morris Drive in Dartmouth. The dealership is in close proximity to the MacKay Bridge, which connects Dartmouth and Halifax.

Bayview Kenworth operates five Kenworth dealerships in New Brunswick including: Saint John, Fredericton, Moncton, Woodstock, Bathurst; and two in Nova Scotia, including Dartmouth and New Glasgow.

Class 8 truck orders hit 18,400 units in January

According to a recent press release published by ACT Research, preliminary NA Class 8 net orders in December were 18,400 units, while NA Classes 5-7 net orders were 17,800 units.

“Given how robust Class 8 orders were into year-end, the relative pause in January is not surprising,” shared Eric Crawford, vice president and senior analyst, ACT Research. “We note that over the final four months of 2022, nearly 159,000 Class 8 net orders were placed, +92% y/y, and only 8% below those placed over the same period in 2020. January’s orders represent the first y/y decline in five months (August).”
