Bestpass expands management team

Bestpass Inc. announced two additions to its team of management and development professionals: Joe Clavelle and Andrew Smith.

Clavelle will join the Bestpass team as director of business develop and brings with him many years of business development and international sales experience in the toll, bypass and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) arena. Previously, Clavelle was director of business development and international sales at Drivewyze/Intelligent Imaging Systems where he introduced the company to toll and ITS markets and regions in North and South America.

Smith, a new senior software developer at Bestpass, will take a leadership role in developing billing and end-user solutions. In addition to increasing efficiencies in internal processes, he will work on customer-facing enhancements that expand the company’s offerings, including a suite of automatic notifications that clients can enable to proactively manage their accounts. Previously, he served as director of research and development for Transfinder and as Development Manager at InfoEd.

A more environmentally friendly manufacturing process combined with an advanced wastewater recovery system in and around the Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems manufacturing operation in Huntington, Indiana has earned recognition from the U.S. Department of Energy.

Bendix Huntington has received a 2023 Better Project award from the department’s Better Plants program for its efforts in reducing the environmental impact of its engine vibration damper production. This award acknowledges partners for implementing industrial energy, water, and waste projects at individual facilities. According to the company's recent press release, the DOE formally recognized Bendix and other Better Project honorees at this year’s Better Buildings, Better Plants Summit.
