Bridgestone Commercial launches Dayton commercial truck tires line

Bridgestone Commercial, a division of Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations, unveiled an all new line of Dayton commercial truck tires. The new line consists of eight new Dayton patterns that doubles the product coverage of the former lineup to meet the diverse needs of small fleets and owner operators in a multitude of trucking segments, according to Bridgestone.

“With this next-generation Dayton lineup we are better positioned to deliver a full range of quality products at an incredible value,” said Matt Loos, director of truck and bus marketing, Bridgestone Commercial. “Truckers wear many different hats and they need to get where they are going with as little down time as possible. Dayton tires are for truckers; affordable and dependable, our tires keep drivers moving day-in and day-out to help protect their bottom line.”

According to a recent press release published by ACT Research, preliminary NA Class 8 net orders in December were 18,400 units, while NA Classes 5-7 net orders were 17,800 units.

“Given how robust Class 8 orders were into year-end, the relative pause in January is not surprising,” shared Eric Crawford, vice president and senior analyst, ACT Research. “We note that over the final four months of 2022, nearly 159,000 Class 8 net orders were placed, +92% y/y, and only 8% below those placed over the same period in 2020. January’s orders represent the first y/y decline in five months (August).”
