Bridgestone Commercial Solutions has announced the new M749 Drive Radial designed for long- and regional auto haul transportation vehicles in the United States and Canada.
“The M749 comes in a size unique to the Bridgestone lineup – 295/60R22.5,” says Bert Jones, manager, product marketing, TBR, Retread and OTR, Bridgestone Commercial Solutions. “This new product is built to withstand the carrying capacity demands of the auto-haul segment while also maintaining the maximum sustained speed necessary when traveling long stretches of highway.”
Additional features of the Bridgestone M749, according to the manufacturer, include a WavedBelt design to minimize belt stress at the edges and preserve casing durability, tie bars to control movement of the shoulder tread block for low rolling resistance and long wear, multiple cross-rib sipes to improve traction and Flexible Groove Fence partitions to dampen noise.
