Ranger Products unveils oil filter crusher

Ranger Products recently unveiled its new high-powered RP-20FC Oil Filter Crusher. In just 20 seconds, this industrial-quality, welded steel plate crusher applies 10 tons of air-operated pressure to just about any used oil filter, reducing it to 25% of its original size and removing 95% of the oil, the company said.

GearMaster displays optimum gear shifting on dashboard

The GearMaster is a relatively new technology in the heavy trucking industry that uses a dashboard-mounted LED display to show current gear, RPM and speed, as well as a graphic representation of the gears in relation to the engine’s operating range and “sweet spot,” so the driver can precisely time the shift, the company said.

CXI offers 2V-700 coolant extractor

The CXI 2V-700 coolant extractor offers more complete control of fluid removal and installation when servicing diesel engines, said its manufacturer, DBT Inc. Using shop air as its power source, the unit quick-couples to the vehicle’s cooling system. By drawing a vacuum in the coolant extractor’s 18-gal. tank, the coolant can be extracted from the cooling system. Once the repair is complete, pressurize the tank and refill the system through the bottom.
