Chevin Fleet Solutions signs new fleet software deal with Northeast Utilities

Chevin Fleet Solutions recently signed an agreement to provide its web-based fleet management software to Northeast Utilities.

New England’s largest electric and gas utility system will use Chevin’s FleetWave to manage its fleet of more than 5,400 pieces of equipment across seven operating companies.

FleetWave will ultimately become Northeast Utilities enterprise fleet management information system, replacing two separate fleet systems and, as part of a sophisticated deployment strategy, will interface with more than a dozen disparate operating systems and service providers.

Senior Vice President, North American Sales, Ron Katz said: “We are very pleased to sign this agreement with Northeast Utilities. Over the last few years, we’ve dramatically expanded our client base in the utility sector and look forward to working with the Northeast Utility team to support their ongoing needs.

“The need to control costs and maximize equipment utilization in the utility sector are the key motivators behind Chevin’s growth in this area and FleetWave is proving to be highly effective in helping fleets to meet these important objectives.”

Chevin’s web-based enterprise fleet management information software, FleetWave is used to manage more than 800,000 fleet vehicles around the world. Recent contract signings in the utility sector include Pike Electric, DC Water, Bell Canada, Washington Gas, Penn West, Henkels & McCoy, NESCO Equipment and more
