EnerSys is celebrating the 25th anniversary of Odyssey batteries.
Through a series of digital activities set to launch throughout 2021, EnerSys will highlight special Odyssey battery moments over the past 25 years. As part of this campaign, EnerSys will unveil a new video series that chronicles the customer’s personal journey using Odyssey batteries. Each video will focus on a different application. Engineered with Thin Plate Pure Lead (TPPL) technology, the company says Odyssey batteries provide twice the power and triple the life of conventional lead acid designs for a wide range of applications, including automotive/truck, powersports, marine, recreational vehicles, heavy duty and fleet vehicles.
Odyssey batteries provide deep cycle reserve power and maximum cranking power, with engine cranking pulses up to 2,700 amps for five seconds. The Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) construction and non-spillable design of Odyssey batteries protect against high-impact shock and mechanical vibration, the company says. The batteries feature a 3- to 10-year service life and a two-year storage life at 77°F, EnerSys adds.
