EnerSys introduces new BCI sizes to its ODYSSEY battery line

EnerSys recently introduced BCI battery sizes 75/86, 25, 35 and 65 to its ODYSSEY battery product offering, which provide starting power to various applications among the automotive/light truck vehicle (LTV) and heavy duty/fleet markets.

EnerSys recently introduced BCI battery sizes 75/86, 25, 35 and 65 to its ODYSSEY battery product offering, which provide starting power to various applications among the automotive/light truck vehicle (LTV) and heavy duty/fleet markets.

"Adding the new BCI sizes allows ODYSSEY battery to offer solutions for a broader range of applications," said Dana Kowalski, marketing communications supervisor for EnerSys. "We consistently look to expand our product offering so that we may provide the latest technologies and services to the battery market."

ODYSSEY Batteries offer absorbed glass mat (AGM) design that provides a three- to 10-year service life, a storage life of up to two years and acid containment that prevents spills, enabling the battery to be installed in any orientation but inverted. Unlike spiral-wound AGM batteries, ODYSSEY batteries include densely packed flat plates that provide 15 percent more surface area, resulting in greater power. ODYSSEY batteries range from 100 cold cranking amps (CCA) to 1,225 CCA, and provide a reserve capacity of up to 240 minutes.

Following are brief specification outlines of each new BCI size ODYSSEY battery:
