Finding a service location that can turn your truck quickly

Unexpected truck service issues always happen at the worst time in the worst place. Finding a service facility that has bay and technician availability, the right parts, and won’t rake you over the coals in terms of cost can feel like finding an oasis in the middle of a desert.

But it doesn’t have to. GPS-fueled telematics can make matching a truck location to a service location a breeze, and sharing the truck data you have with the right service location can improve your truck service turn-around time. You just need to know what to look for and how to do it.

For that, I connected with Chintan Sopariwala, Navistar’s vice president and general manager of connected vehicles. We talk service location-finding resources, best practices for fleets that want to decrease dwell time, best practices for leveraging data to schedule preventative maintenance and more. Watch the video above for all of the insight.
