FinditParts, Diesel Laptops partner to streamline heavy-duty truck repairs

Diesel Laptops' Diesel Decoder plugs into a diagnostic port and sends data to an app. Customers can then order components from FinditParts.

Online heavy-duty truck and trailer parts supplier FinditParts announced a partnership to be the primary online retailer for Diesel Laptops’ repair applications.

To do this, Diesel Laptops designed its Diesel Decoder, which it said is suited for heavy-duty truck owner-operators and small commercial fleets. Users can read fault codes and access repair information, identify parts and order necessary parts through FinditParts. The companies said the goal is to allow technicians, owner-operators and drivers to address vehicle issues quickly and efficiently.

The Diesel Decoder can be plugged into a truck’s diagnostic port and synced via Bluetooth with the Diesel Decoder by Diesel Laptops app. Users can then view fault codes and repair information on a smartphone. The companies said that for $29.99 per month, users can upgrade to Diesel Decoder Pro for advanced diagnostic features and functions.

“I have always seen [Diesel Laptops] as kindred spirits being innovators in technology in the trucking industry and looking forward to driving more value to technicians, owner-operators, and drivers in this partnership,” said David Seewack, chief executive officer of FinditParts.

“By working with FindItParts we are now able to lead customers from fault code to the parts they need to buy to fix their problem in minutes,” added Tyler Robertson, chief executive officer of Diesel Laptops. “This saves technicians and truck owners hours of diagnostic and sourcing time. Using Diesel Laptops technology and FindItParts Infinite Warehouse we can offer nationwide service to our mutual customers.”
