FlowBelow Aero Inc., a Tier 1 supplier of patented aerodynamic products, announced a new Custom Drive Wheel Fairing system that will be available on the 2020 International LT Series MPG Package.  Navistar and FlowBelow jointly developed the system, which will be available in two different configurations (standard and enhanced aero).

This announcement was made at NACV. Click here for all of our show coverage.

The standard aero configuration is the entry-level system, whereas the enhanced aero configuration includes larger fairings capable of even greater fuel savings.  Both configurations are available with the MPG Package, but can also be ordered as a stand-alone factory option on the International LT and RH Series, beginning March 2020.

This past year, International announced the FlowBelow wheel covers and Tractor AeroKit were included in the International MPG Package for the LT Series, which also includes chassis skirts, roof fairing, cab extenders, and an optional bumper valance.  The Custom Drive Wheel Fairing system will take the fuel efficiency benefits of the existing MPG Package to the next level.

In addition to being offered on new trucks from the factory, the Custom Drive Wheel Fairing system will be available for aftermarket purchase through the International Truck dealer network.  In order to provide the best possible support, the Custom Drive Wheel Fairing system will also be backed by a warranty through International.

“The drive wheel fairings were designed by FlowBelow to work optimally with the International LT.,” said said Gordon Virginski, Vice President of OEM & Dealer Programs at FlowBelow Aero. “The new custom drive wheel fairing system will complement the other components in the MPG Package in order to maximize fuel efficiency and minimize total cost of ownership.”
