FlowBelow launches Elite Dealer Program, Trailer AeroSlider system

FlowBelow announced the launch of both its Elite Dealer Program and Trailer AeroSlider system.

The Elite Dealer Program will bring the company’s ‘quick-release’ wheel cover and Tractor AeroKit system to a broader scope of fleet customers in North America. Dealers in the program will be able to offer all available options and configurations of FlowBelow products on new or used trucks sold, as well as trucks already in service. Benefits to fleets and owner-operators include increased access to products and replacement parts, support from their existing dealer, and in some cases economic benefits such as a residual value when trading in trucks with FlowBelow technology already installed, the company said. Notable truck dealer groups participating in the Elite Dealer Program include Truck Country/Stoops, I-State Truck Center, Border International, and others.

Additionally, FlowBelow’s new Trailer AeroSlider system is now in production and available for fleet and dealer orders.

The Trailer AeroSlider is mounted directly to the sliding trailer suspension and travels with the suspension. The Trailer AeroSlider system utilizes FlowBelow’s ‘quick-release’ trailer wheel covers in combination with a fairing between the trailer wheels and aerodynamic mudflaps behind them. Each of the components work together as a system to address the airflow around the trailer wheels and the wake behind the trailer. The system is designed to complement other trailer mounted aerodynamic devices such as trailer skirts and tails, and offers additive fuel savings depending on the combination of devices implemented.

The Trailer AeroSlider will be released in stages based on efficiency improvement. FlowBelow expects the fuel savings performance of the first stage system to be 1.2%, based on testing with a skirted trailer as the baseline. The second stage AeroSlider system, which will be in production in 2018, is expected by the company to provide 2% fuel savings or more with additional components.
