Great Dane recognizes 2022 Supplier Award Winners

Great Dane recently recognized its top supplier partners during the 8th Annual Supplier Summit and Awards in Savannah, Ga. The 2022 Supplier Awards recognize a range of suppliers across the country, who provide key components to produce Great Dane’s dry, flat, and refrigerated trailers and truck bodies.

The Supplier Awards recognize excellence in a range of categories including flatbed and refrigerated suppliers, along with large and small suppliers, and service and quality excellence. Winners have demonstrated an ongoing commitment to excellence, quality, and service in supplying Great Dane’s
manufacturing network with the components needed to build high-quality trailers and truck bodies across the nation.

Suppliers gathered at the Hyatt Regency Savannah, situated along the beautiful Savannah riverfront in the city where Great Dane was founded in 1900. Guests gathered for a night of dinner, connections, and recognition. For the past eight years, Great Dane has recognized its valued supplier partners, during the company’s annual Supplier Summit, which brings together Great Dane leadership with supplier partners to share in communication and processes to drive success together in the coming year.

PACCAR has introduced the new TX-12 Pro automated transmission for Class 6-7 and light Class 8 vocational applications. The company says it builds upon the existing PACCAR TX-12 transmission.

Currently, the new transmission is available with select Kenworth Class 8 models, including the T680 and T880 equipped with the PACCAR MX-11 or PACCAR PX-9 engines. Later this year, the transmission will be available in Kenworth Class 6-8 medium duty models, including the T280, T380, and T480 equipped with the PACCAR PX-9 engine.

Even when seasonally adjusted, ACT says preliminary order numbers for February are up 5% over January.
