Haldex adds brake lining for transit, coach applications

TransitmaX lining, specially developed for demanding transit and coach applications, offers excellent braking performance and extended service life in transit and coach applications; organic fiber-based formulation for outstanding thermal stability and enhanced drum life; quiet operation; and minimal growth, the company said.

Haldex said it has introduced TransitmaX brake lining, specially developed for superior performance in demanding transit and coach applications. According to the company, the friction material is FMVSS-121 certified for both 26,000 lb. and 29,000 lb. GAWR applications.

TransitmaX offers many benefits, including excellent braking performance and extended service life in transit and coach applications; organic fiber-based formulation for outstanding thermal stability and enhanced drum life; quiet operation; and minimal growth, among others.

Haldex added that it is available in all FMSI numbers as loose lining, new lined shoes or remanufactured lined shoes. Remanufactured shoes are relined in according to APTA recommended practices by a nationwide network of state of the art friction service centers.
