Haldex announces newly designed brake control valve

Haldex announced the release of the newly designed Trailer Brake Control (TBC) Valve.

Providing the spring brake control function required for FMVSS-121 compliant trailers, TBC is manufactured to survive the toughest conditions, the company said.

The TBC valve controls the spring brake section of double diaphragm spring brakes to provide parking and emergency braking, according to Haldex. Its durable construction is made of Engineering Grade Composite, which the maker said offers a robust, injection-molded design that is lightweight and resistant to both corrosion and chemicals. In addition, the TBC valve is compatible with all ABS systems on the market today except the Haldex Full Function ABS, which is designed with an integral spring brake control function, the company said.
