Hercules Tires unveils new Strong Guard trailer tires

Hercules Tires has launched the Hercules Strong Guard HTL, the newest offering in its Strong Guard line. The new trailer tire will join the existing premium truck tire offerings – the Hercules Strong Guard HRA and the Hercules Strong Guard HRD all-position medium truck tires.

The Strong Guard line features sophisticated materials and technologies and carry a seven-year limited protection policy including free tire replacement during the first 50% of usable tread life under the workmanship and materials coverage, according to Hercules Tire. Additionally, Hercules Strong Guard medium truck tires carry a casing allowance for up to three retreads.

The Hercules Strong Guard HTL is constructed with EcoFT, an EPA Smartway Verified technology, and is optimized for regional and long haul trailer positions in highway service in 14 and 16 ply.1 According to the company, the Strong Guard HTL provides:
Uniform wear, enhanced lateral stability and reduced tread squirm via the wide shoulder five rib tread design;
Optimal 14/32nds tread depth enhanced with stone ejectors that guard the belt package and casing from premature damage caused by stone drilling for better retreadability;
Unique stair-step indicators that detect irregular shoulder wear and alert the driver corrective action is required before the tire is damaged; and
A new generation active silica tread compound delivering a balance of long wear and improved rolling resistance for lower costs per mile.
