At the recent inauguration of Mack’s latest product, a new line of axles, Fleet Equipment was given a rare chance to tour a Mack manufacturing plant and share photos. The Hagerstown plant is one of Mack’s foremost producers of equipment; if you are a Mack owner, chances are critical equipment in your truck was made at this facility.

The Hagerstown plant’s latest addition is a line of Mack axles, which the company is producing for its own trucks for the first time.
Mack brought assembly of the Mack mDrive automated manual transmission to Hagerstown in 2012. Mack announced the mDrive HD, a heavy-duty version of the mDrive, in February 2015. The mDrive HD, which is also built in Hagerstown’s plant, is standard equipment in the Mack Granite model and the Titan by Mack model.
