You’ve probably heard about the EPA GHG regulations that are ramping up throughout the 2020s, starting this year. You’ve probably also heard about more advanced emissions programs introduced by the California Air Resources Board (CARB). But you might wonder, if I don’t run trucks in California, why do I need to know what CARB is doing?

The answer is that where CARB goes, EPA usually follows. Trucks will most likely eventually have to hit those CARB standards, so it’s best to be prepared.

For this episode of Fleet Future I talked with Robb Janak, director of new technologies at Jacobs Vehicle Systems, about emissions regulations and the technology Jacobs is developing to meet them. Listen below, and click here to find more episodes of the Fleet Future podcast.
