Since 2009 Jacobs has supplied a compression release engine brake for International Truck’s 13-liter engine. The company says the Jacobs Engine Brake increases foundation brake life, improves driveability and lowers the total cost of ownership of A26-powered International trucks equipped with this engine brake.

The Jacobs Engine Brake comes factory installed on International LT series long-haul vehicles, International RHTM series regional haul vehicles and International HV and HX series severe vehicles.

Volvo Trucks says it had a record year in 2022, delivering an all-time high number of its trucks to customers and also increasing its market share in 41 countries. The company says it executed its best performance in 2022 in the company’s history. According to a press release, the global truck manufacturer delivered 145,195 trucks in 2022, an increase of 19% from 2021, when 122,525 trucks were delivered. Volvo Trucks adds it also increased its market share in the heavy truck segment (great than or equal to 16 tonnes) in 41 markets globally, despite supply chain shortages that prevailed throughout the year.
