Urethane Supply Co.’s released a new Kenworth T800 hood repair kit, which addresses a common problem on the hood of this particular model truck, said the company. According to Urethane Supply, the brackets for the hood guides at the back of the hood break the Metton plastic. As a result, repairing the hood requires buying a new hood or about eight hours of labor and more than $1,000 in parts, noted the company.

Urethane Supply Co.’s custom-designed repair kit bonds a cast aluminum plug into the “horseshoe” socket to make a faster and stronger repair. The installation time to repair both sides is less than an hour, according to the company, with the suggested user price for the kit at $499.95.

The Kenworth T800 hood repair kit comes complete with driver’s and passenger’s side aluminum repair plugs, steel bearing plates, two 2510 PlastiFix adhesive kits and all necessary hardware.
