Larson Electronics releases portable, rechargeable LED task lighting system

Larson Electronics has announced the release of a portable LED task light that provides a rechargeable, portable lighting solution for applications where power is not readily available. As described by the company, this task light is a portable 5-ft. LED task light that includes a stool base which encloses the rechargeable battery pack to operate the LED light. The four foot LED lamp in this unit is LEL listed, offers a 50,000 hour lamp life, and provides 125 lumens per watt for a total of 3,500 lumens per lamp. Each end of this task light has a precision machined handle which allows the unit to be controlled from either end. Featuring light emitting diode technology, the low amp draw of this task light allows the unit to be operated for up to one week without recharging.

This portable unit is transferred on four caster wheels and is easily turned on and off with the power switch located on the side of the stool. Twenty feet of SOOW cable connects the work light to the battery pack. The sealed lead acid battery pack that operates this unit is recharged using a 120 volt charger. The battery pack is enclosed within a portable stool, which may also be used as a work bench. The caster wheels mounted on the bottom allows the unit to be easily transferred to various work sites.

“Our new portable, light weight lighting system provides operators with a versatile unit when power is not accessible,” said Larson’s Rob Bresnahan. “The battery bank stool is equipped with wheels for ease of transporting the unit around the work area.”
