Luber-finer, a division of Champion Laboratories Inc. and a manufacturer of heavy-duty filtration products, announced its new TotalTec Fuel Filter.

Designed for use in the transportation, off-road/mining, marine, agriculture and automotive light trucking industries, the TotalTec fuel filter’s exterior casing is constructed with an all-metal housing to withstand higher pulse fatigue. Inside the casing, the filter is designed with a high-performance filter media that allows for more dirt holding capacity and 99 percent filtering efficiency, the company said.

The OEM design of the filter also consists of a “no plastic bowl” construction that provides an alternative to standard fuel/water separators, the company said. The filter incorporates a more durable, leak-proof construction that reduces the risk of failure due to cracks and breakage. The bottom of the filter includes an easy turn low torque valve and sensor port for proper OEM sensor replacement, the company said.

By providing a filtering efficiency rating of 99 percent, the filter increases fuel mileage while trapping the majority of particulates and debris in diesel fuel that can plug fuel injectors, the company said.
