Mack Trucks new Mack Anthem highway models will come standard with Bendix Wingman Fusion, a camera- and radar-based driver assistance solution, the OEM announced at the North American Commercial Vehicle show.
Wingman Fusion is installed at Lehigh Valley Operations in Macungie, Penn., where all Mack truck models for North America and export are assembled. Fusion provides collision mitigation, adaptive cruise control and lane departure warning, assisting drivers in staying safe on the highway by gathering input through radar, camera and the braking system, enabling multisystem integration and intelligent communication among components. This helps improve safety on the highways, Mack explained.
Mack showcased six Mack Anthem models, including the Day Cab, 48-in. Flat Top sleeper and 70-in. Stand Up sleeper models at NACV. The Mack Anthem stands out with a bold grille featuring a distinctive bridge element bearing the Mack wordmark, and an all-new exterior design with optimized aerodynamics for improved fuel economy, according to the OEM. New driving and living environments increase driver comfort and productivity.
