Mercedes-Benz will debut Metris at 2015 Work Truck Show

The Mercedes-Benz Metris midsize van will make its world premiere at The Work Truck Show 2015. Mercedes-Benz’s Metric is one of more than 100 new commercial vehicles and related products set to debut at the North American work truck event. Additional chassis OEMs with press conferences scheduled at the event include Ford Commercial Vehicles, Ram Commercial, Freightliner Trucks and International Truck. More than 60 other exhibiting companies also have announced plans to introduce their latest equipment and technology at the show, according to NTEA.

“If you want to see what’s new in the vocational truck world, The Work Truck Show is the place to be,” said Steve Carey, NTEA executive director. “Leading manufacturers use the show as an opportunity to introduce new equipment and technology to the industry.”

The New Product Spotlight program gives Work Truck Show attendees the chance to learn about new products at the show before the doors open. Once on-site, attendees will have the opportunity to see new products on display and talk to exhibiting company engineers and product experts in the booths to gain a better understanding about how the products work. For attendees interested in clean vehicle technology, the Green Product Showcase features companies with products that are environmentally friendly, prominently use recycled materials, support environmentally sustainable practices and/or advance fuel utilization.

Companies in the New Product Spotlight, New Exhibitor Showcase and Green Product Showcase can be viewed online and via The Work Truck Show 2015 mobile app.

The Work Truck Show 2015, produced by NTEA – The Association for the Work Truck Industry, is held March 4–6 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, Ind. Educational programming, including the Green Truck Summit, begins March 3.
