Haldex warns against imitation HCVs

Haldex, maker of height control valves (HCVs) for truck and trailer air suspension, warned that imitation height control valves have been designed to appear to be the same as genuine Haldex height control valves in order to lead you to believe that they’ll perform the same. However, they don’t match Haldex in the critical areas of function, durability and quality, the company said. Imitation valves typically exhibit large dead bands, inconsistent time delays, intermittent operation, excessive leakage and are highly susceptible to temperature variations, Haldex continued.

Haldex adds ILAS E air suspension valve to trailer roll stability system

Haldex Commercial Vehicle Systems announces the addition of the ILAS E Air Suspension Valve, which can control the position of the lift axles through an electrical connection. A 12V power supply is needed to keep the lift axles in the raised position, and when power is removed via an electrical switch, the lift axles will be lowered automatically. When coupled with the Haldex TRS System, the lift axles can be controlled to raise and lower automatically as the air suspension reacts to changing loads in the trailer. The ILAS E / TRS System can be adjusted to react at various pressure conditions making the system versatile for single or multiply lift axle trailers, its maker said.
