Recipients of 2013 Innovator of the Year Awards from PeopleNet were presented to fleets for "exceptional leadership in using PeopleNet to create unique solutions that accelerate/drive return on investment (ROI)."

Recipients of 2013 Innovator of the Year Awards from PeopleNet were presented to fleets for “exceptional leadership in using PeopleNet to create unique solutions that accelerate/drive return on investment (ROI).” Customers honored in four categories at PeopleNet’s 11th annual user conference included:

Crosstex Energy Services has driven innovation since it began using PeopleNet eight years ago. Most recently, the company completely customized the baseline Crude Workflow application to fit its unique needs. After 150 hours of custom coding, the application has dramatically reduced the time drivers and back-office personnel spend processing paperwork. With the integration of TMWSuite drivers can now request automated rerouting and re-dispatching of loads depending on why an initial load was rejected.

J Rayl Transport

Akron, Ohio

J Rayl Transport has aggressively logged numerous achievements with PeopleNet since becoming a customer in 2010. Most recently, the company has demonstrated leadership in energy conservation and clean energy fuels, bringing to its headquarters the first public compressed natural gas (CNG) station in the area. The fleet also uses a customized PeopleNet CNG fueling form that captures miles-per-gallon and cost-per-mile data to enable the company to compare results equitably on its dual-fueled vehicles and with its ten new CNG-powered vehicles. The company was also recognized for its exceptional driver relations program.

Last year, MBI Energy Services dove into PeopleNet with its adoption of TABLET Premium, Satcomm and Crude Workflow, and has revolutionized the way U.S. trucking companies view technology in the booming oil field and energy services market. MBI automated the massive volume of driver workload that is unique to this market, making the fleet’s mobile technology capabilities the watermark for winning business. MBI is also beta testing PeopleNet Energy Services Navigation, oil field mapping based on proven technologies from PeopleNet’s sister Trimble companies ALK Technologies and GEOTrac.

Winnipeg, Manitoba

Paul’s Hauling LTD has vigorously used PeopleNet since 2009 and has been an early adopter and promoter for ALK Navigation and ALK Route Sync. In addition, it has enhanced its system with Speedgauge, Activity Standards, Onboard Event Recording, Fault Codes, Satellite and Crude Workflow. It recently updated its entire fleet and integrated Crude Workflow into a portion of their fleet.
