The Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week show floor held a few surprises. Sure there was the tried-and-true lineup of hard parts that solve fleet service problems, but there were also hints of the trucking industry aftermarket solutions to come. Examples ranged from electrified axles to increased e-commerce connectivity. One thing was certain, while aftermarket solutions keep taking solid steps forward, the conversations had during panels and on the show floor have taken a giant leap since 2020. There’s an understanding that change isn’t just coming to the trucking aftermarket—it’s already here, accelerated by forces beyond our wildest imaginations over the past two years.
