Prestolite Electric expands Leece-Neville IdlePro alternator series

Prestolite Electric has announced the expansion of its Leece-Neville IdlePro heavy-duty alternator series to include a 24V 120- and 180-amp output dual internal fan design. The new IdlePro 24V 120- and 180-amp high-efficiency/high-output alternators are ideal for high-heat, high-performance heavy duty applications including bus, coach, construction, agriculture and industrial vehicles, according to Prestolite.

“This is an exciting addition to our IdlePro product line,” said Jonathan Smith, assistant director of aftermarket sales and marketing for Prestolite Electric. “The new 24-volt IdlePro alternators have the potential to extend service life, increase vehicle uptime and improve performance by enhancing the electrical system.”

Specs of the new IdlePro Alternator include:

  • 24V: 120-amp and 180-amp outputs
  • J-180, Swing, Lug, Pad & Spool mounts
  • Minimum of 70% output of unit’s rated maximum output at engine idle speed*
  • Remote Sense capable
  • 125 C, -40 C ratings
  • Heavy duty housing design
  • eCoated for corrosion resistance
