SAF-Holland announces retirement of Rob Nissen

SAF-Holland announced that Rob Nissen, National Senior Service Manager, will be retiring from SAF-Holland, effective February 11, 2022.

Nissen joined SAF-Holland (Holland Hitch) in 1993, as the General Service Manager. He’s held a variety of positions over his tenure, including a total of 22 years Directing Field Service, three years as Technical Service & Training Manager and four years as National Senior Service Manager.

Nissen was instrumental in the development of numerous TMC recommended practices on topics including proper fifth wheel installation, wheel-end maintenance, safety chain maintenance, draw bar maintenance, pintle hook maintenance, upper coupler and kingpin maintenance, air ride maintenance, rear suspension inspection, ride height adjustment, trailer axle maintenance, and hooking up double trailers according to the company.

Prior to joining SAF-Holland, Rob worked for over 20 years in maintenance and service of trucks and trailers including six years in a family-owned garage servicing gasoline and diesel engines and trailers, seven years with Roadway Express, and seven years in maintenance management positions with Yellow Freight, Jones Transfer, Fineline Freightway, Leaseway, and ANR Freight Systems.
