Safety Management Systems launches Fleet360 compliance solution

Safety Management Systems Inc. (SMS), an EHS and regulatory compliance provider, announced the launch of Fleet360, a scalable, compliance and EHS Solution for any size fleet. The launch of Fleet360, which focuses predominately on DOT Compliance, joins SMS’s EHS OSHA software—SMS360 as an affordable solution for small and mid-sized businesses to manage risk.

Fleet360 includes Driver Qualification Forms (Pre/Post Hire); Vehicle Management, which includes DVIR, preventative maintenance, roadside inspections and other features; and a Fleet Safety Library containing “Tool Box Talks” for drivers.

Phillips Industries launched its Rear-Vu Backup Camera for the commercial trucking industry. Phillips says Rear-Vu is designed to be equipped to any trailer, and features a proprietary WiFi connection that extends more than 70 ft.

Phillips tells us Rear-Vu integrates with any ELD navigation system, with automatic over-the-air firmware updates. Additionally, the company says the camera has a 170-degree wide viewing angle, more than 50 ft. of visibility behind the trailer and ultra-low latency of less than 0.25 seconds for real-time viewing. It can also be used continuously while driving, allowing drivers to monitor traffic behind them.
