Sloan Transportation Products is marketing Michelin branded wiper blades to the North American heavy-duty aftermarket. The Michelin Heavy Duty Wiper Blade is offered in a regular and winter blade model.

Sloan said it is making the Michelin bulk blade program available for fleets because it provides a premium quality, branded blade, while saving time, space and costs.

The Michelin bulk blades are poly bagged with a Michelin label and come 10 blades per box. With this bulk program, a fleet technician can easily access a replacement blade without struggling to open a sealed blister package, the company said.

The Michelin Heavy Duty Wiper Blade has a graphite coating over the rubber blade that reduces friction and extends blade life, the company said. Hardware components are manufactured from heavy-duty 304 stainless steel. The high nickel content of the 304 guarantees added strength as well as protection from rust and corrosion, the company said. Metal rivets strengthen the assembly compared to competitor blades that are assembled with a crimp. The multi-arm connector fits 90 percent of blades on the market.

The winter blade model contains a premium silicone boot that resists cracking down to minus 40 degrees Celsius, the company said. The boot repels ice, snow, and road chemicals away from internal working parts.

The company also offers a recloseable blister package program for either over-the-counter or retail sales from a point-of-sale display. A POS display is available that contains ten of the four most popular sizes. The POS display is branded both Michelin and Sloan and is designed for increased impulse purchases and expanded merchandising.
