Stemco files patent infringement claim against Ridge Corp.

Stemco, an EnPro Industries company, announced updates regarding the motion for preliminary injunction that it filed against Ridge Corp. on behalf of Stemco subsidiary, ATDynamics. As previously announced, Stemco-ATDynamics filed a lawsuit against Ridge Corp. in the United States District Court for the Central District of California, Case No. 2:15-cv-01877-BRO-MAN. Through its Motion for Preliminary Injunction, ATDynamics has asked the Court to order Ridge Corp. to stop making and selling the Green Tail device on the basis that Ridge Corp. infringes at least five ATDynamics patents.

A hearing on ATDynamics’ Motion for Preliminary Injunction has been set for Monday, July 13, 2015, before District Judge Beverly Reid O’Connell in the United States District Court for the Central District of California.

Stemco-ATDynamics has engaged Timothy Carroll and Kourtney Merrill of powerhouse IP law firm Perkins Coie to protect its intellectual property rights. Perkins Coie is one of the top ranked law firms in the country for patent law and patent litigation, was named Patent “Law Firm of the Year” for two consecutive years (2013, 2014) by U.S. News – Best Lawyers and is routinely ranked as one of the most hired firms for patent litigation in the United States.

Earlier this year, Stemco acquired Trailer Tails-manufacturer ATDynamics. You can read all those details by clicking here.
