Since 1979, Sun-Tech said its Balance Masters technology has provided dependable active balancing systems for engines, trucks and the wheel industry. Now the company said it has leveraged this innovative technology and has engineered new balancers for drive shafts from 2-in. to 5 5/8-in. diameters.
According to the maker, Balance Masters mount 1- to 2-in. from either end of the driveshaft and only require one balancer per length of shaft. This liquid metal (mercury) technology works by centrifugal force, positioning the metal for the best balance possible at all speeds.
This revolutionary active balancing system will reduce the harmful vibrations associated with an out-of-balance condition up to 50% or more and in turn will lead to a cooler and longer bearing life, according to the company. The balancers work continuously while driving, helping eliminate costly and inconvenient down time. This technology is not affected by weather or temperature extremes – and there are no parts to wear out or dry up, the maker noted.
Balance Masters Active Balancing Systems come with a 2-year limited factory warranty against material defects and are maintenance free, the maker said.
