TA signs 30 new franchise agreements in 2022

In 2022, TA opened three new franchised sites and plans to open 20 franchised locations in 2023.

TravelCenters of America (TA) had a successful year in 2022, with the signing of 30 new franchise agreements, which helped the company reach its annual target for network growth. The company reported year-over-year franchise signing growth. In addition to its focus on franchising, TA says it has also been actively pursuing acquisitions as a means of network growth. The company acquired seven existing travel centers, six of which had truck maintenance facilities, and these locations began operating as TA or Petro locations in 2022.

Additionally, the company also acquired three standalone truck service facilities, which began operating as TA Truck Service during the year.
