Sherwin Williams brand adds to finish product line

Acme Automotive Finishes, a registered trademark of the Sherwin-Williams Co., has added the AIC (Advanced Industrial Coatings) 2.1 Epoxy Primer and the AIC Metal Direct Factory Package Colors to its Acme Quality Paints product line.

Peterbilt begins production of anti-idle cooling system

The SmartAir anti-idle cooling system from Peterbilt Motors Co. is now available. The factory-installed system is available in Models 384, 386, 388, 389, 587 and the new 579.

Volvo adds air disc brakes, SmartWay chassis fairings

New air disc brakes and SmartWay-compliant aerodynamic chassis fairings have been added by Volvo Trucks for VN models in North America. Volvo air disc brakes will initially be available on all VN model front axles in August 2013, expanding to include all axles in 2014.

Navistar begins SCR engine deliveries

In late April, Navistar International Corporation will begin delivering initial production models of the International ProStar equipped with MaxxForce 13 with SCR engines.

Peterbilt makes Cummins Westport engine available

The availability of the new Cummins Westport ISX12 G natural gas engine has been announced by Peterbilt Motors Company, which will offer the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and California Air Resources Board (ARB) certified engine beginning in August.

Chevron named standard factory fill by Kenworth

Class 8 trucks from Kenworth Truck Company will come factory filled with Chevron Delo 400 XLE Synblend SAE 10W-30 engine oil. Delo 400XLE Synblend is formulated with ISOSYN Technology, Chevron’s exclusive combination of base oil and additives.

Mack showcases natural gas-powered Pinnacle

Mack Trucks has unveiled a 12-liter natural gas-powered Pinnacle Axle Back model built initially for UPS. Built for regional haul and LTL operations, the Pinnacle is equipped with a Cummins Westport ISX12 G engine with either LNG or compressed natural gas (CNG) fuel systems.
