Telogis announces software enhancements

Telogis has announced the introduction of several enhancements and extensions for its Telogis Mobile Resource Management (MRM) software platform, including Telogis Spotlight and Telogis Compliance.

Telogis Spotlight

The new Telogis Spotlight mobile app gives supervisors and fleet managers a quick snapshot of what’s happening in the field by providing up-to-date analytics about the health of each of their vehicles and driver performance. Spotlight highlights critical data and areas of concern which allows users to determine where attention may be required; it also automatically curates important analytics information into dashboards and scorecards, and helps interpret the severity of vehicles’ diagnostic trouble codes, so that operational teams are freed from having to sift through reports or log into a portal for information that might require immediate action.

The Telogis Spotlight app will be available in early 2017 as an extension of the Telogis MRM platform. It has been optimized for iOS, but it will also be available for Android devices.

Telogis Compliance

Feature enhancements to the Telogis Compliance applications for managing Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations for driver Hours of Service (HOS) make meeting mandates simpler with intuitive applications that are tied to vehicle mileage and verified inspection walk-arounds. The improved Telogis Compliance apps for HOS ensure drivers’ HOS logs are up to date, while supporting federal and state rules as well as widely used local exemptions, according to Telogis.

The Driver Vehicle Inspection Reporting (DVIR) capability within Telogis Compliance takes advantage of advanced sensors on drivers’ everyday mobile devices, instead of requiring additional logistical components. Customers can now more precisely confirm the path drivers have taken to move around a vehicle when performing an inspection using industry-leading algorithms, the company said.

Telogis Compliance for HOS and DVIR management is available today as an extension of the Telogis MRM platform on the App Store or on Google Play.

Telogis Dynamic Response Suite

Telogis Dispatch is a module within the Telogis Dynamic Response Suite that helps customers complete more jobs during the work day with fewer resources by improving utilization, dispatching work profitably and managing geographically dispersed teams more effectively. Telogis Dispatch also helps to improve customer satisfaction and responsiveness by allowing for more dynamic and “smarter” decisions than traditional dispatching with Telogis’ powerful route optimization capability and the ability to automate dispatch workflows, according to the company. Telogis Dispatch will be available early in 2017.

The next generation of Telogis ControlRoom provides a high level graphical view of all work being completed across the organization. With real-time, actionable information in a heads up display format, ControlRoom allows executives to take preventative action in real-time and helps ensure a productive work day. Customizable widgets keep supervisors in the know, and enable them to respond to business needs in a timely manner, the company said. Telogis ControlRoom is available today and works in conjunction with Telogis ETA.
