Thermo King’s donates to Northwest Arkansas Food Bank

Thermo King and its dealer network has been raising money for food banks since the company launched its We Move Food program in 2017. We Move Food is a philanthropic program designed to increase access to fresh, healthy food by reducing waste and supporting nutrition education for families and communities that struggle with hunger and food instability.

As a part of Thermo King’s fundraising effort, the group hosts an annual golf tournament with a top prize of a $10,000 grant awarded to a food bank of the winning golfer’s choice. Bill Dawson of Transport Refrigeration of Northwest Arkansas was the tournament winner.

Thermo King’s We Move Food program distributes grants throughout the year to support food banks and pantries’ hunger relief missions such as mobile pantries, food rescue and recovery, food distribution, and education.

Because of their affiliation with Feeding America, the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank can provide up to 8 meals for every $1.00 donation. That means this donation will provide up to 80,000 meals for neighbors in need.
